Job Summary
Responsible for developing, executing, and refining the sales strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives. Conducts comprehensive market research and performance analysis to identify growth opportunities, optimize revenue streams, and strengthen the company’s competitive position within the hospitality sector. Leads the formulation of actionable sales plans, sets measurable targets, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution. Provides strategic input to senior management while responsible for sales performance, client relationships, and revenue-generating initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identifies and pursues sales leads to drive usage of hotel facilities for corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, product launches, and other functions.
- Manages and grows corporate accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery and long-term client retention.
- Responds promptly to client inquiries, providing accurate information for effective planning and execution.
- Identifies and pursues new sales opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and networking.
- Follows up on business leads and inquiries to generate new revenue streams.
- Collaborates with food and beverage, events, kitchen, and front office teams to plan and execute detailed event schedules.
- Maintains accurate records of current and upcoming events and reservations.
- Drives targeted sales efforts across hotel offerings including room bookings, event venues (e.g., conference halls, Balmoral halls), casino, and pool memberships.
- Builds and maintains relationships with key decision-makers,corporates, government, associations, and event management companies to generate leads and repeat business.
- Analyzes market trends to identify new opportunities and recommend strategic partnerships.
- Represents the hotel at industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking functions to increase visibility and source business.
- Partners with the marketing team to develop and implement digital and offline promotional campaigns.
- Tracks and reports on sales metrics, preparing regular performance reports for management.
- Supports the creation and marketing of promotions, packages, and seasonal offerings for both the Hotel and Casino.
Education Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field from a reputable institution.
Work Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years work experience in sales.
- At least five (5) years experience in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong understanding of business-to-business sales, account management, and revenue generation in service-oriented industries.
- Familiarity with hospitality, events, or leisure industry, especially venue marketing and event lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing channels, lead generation platforms, and CRM usage for pipeline management
- Understanding of event planning workflows, client expectations, and collaboration across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Opera software, and CRM tools.
- Relevant certifications in Sales, Event Management, or Hospitality are an added advantage.
