About the role:
The Area Sales Manager will ensure growth and expansion of the solar inverter sales in the “South- South” region of the country, by identifying, engaging and building strong partnership networks with retail chains, SMEs, Estate Developers, Government and institutions.
The role spans B2B and B2C sales and distribution opportunities for our solar inverter series , managing customer relationships, developing effective route-to-market (RTM) strategies and achieving sales targets in South South Region and ready to expand Sun King coverage to all areas and LGAs.
What you would be expected to do
Achieve Inverter Sales revenue targets.- Be accountable to achieve the quarterly and yearly Operating Plan for Inverter Sales in your region (3.3KVA & 5KVA).
- Recruitment and onboarding of partners
- Be accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline Inverter sales per normal reporting cycles within the region.
- Provide input to and contribute to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycles.
- Execute Go-to-market strategy in conjunction with your line manager in order to cover the prioritized potential and business opportunities.
- Aligning territories to market potential, priorities and assign optimal account management.
- Ensure all direct reports have clear opportunity management activity and relationship building plans to ensure efficient coverage of territories.
- Drive performance management within the team, providing a regular operating mechanism of feedback, coaching, and managing the annual appraisal system.
- Maintain up to date market knowledge related to the full Sun King Inverter range, communicate intelligence and propose strategies.
- Reporting on sales activities and managing inverter sales pipeline
- Recruitment and Retention of state sales teams through proper training, management, and performance review.
- Recruitment, Training and Onboarding of direct reports to respective locations.
- Communicate Sales Targets to the Inverter team in your region and develop Daily, Weekly and Monthly rigor to ensure achievement.
- Develop RTM for your region to develop prospects by conducting key establishments including schools, churches, supermarkets, malls, restaurants, hospitals etc.
- Organized Institutional sales including HORECAs, SMEs, Hospitals, Estate Developers, Big Electronics outlets
- Build partnerships with Key Retail Chains for shop-in-shop sales
- Brand presence in Trade fairs and corporate events.
- Develop targeted marketing activation campaigns in high traffic locations including malls,
- Develop a client feedback and resolution dashboard to track customer issues and improve satisfactions.
You might be a strong candidate if you
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 4 years in technical sales with practical field sales experience managing teams in vast geographies. within your purview.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Have excellent Computer knowledge with comprehensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Have highly innovative skills, thinking out of the box, cost conscious.
- Are excellently skilled in Planning, Organizing, Prioritizing, maximizing value and seeing the big picture.
