Job Summary

The Sales Executive will drive sales and foster client relationships within the pump and water technology industry, exclusively representing Grundfos OEM products. This role focuses on securing and managing high-value contracts for large-scale projects, targeting state water boards, federal and quasi-government entities, World Bank programs, etc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the same industry, with a proven track record of representing OEMs, particularly in government and quasi-government projects.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DBS, CBS, and Water Utilities divisions, leveraging Grundfos’ advanced pump solutions.
  • Target large-scale projects, including city and township water infrastructure, state water board initiatives, federal government contracts, and World Bank/NGO-sponsored water supply programs.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads for government and quasi-government projects.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and client needs specific to Grundfos products.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including state water boards, federal government agencies, NGOs, World Bank representatives, and municipal authorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their requirements are met with tailored Grundfos solutions.
  • Collaborate with Grundfos technical teams to align product offerings with client specifications.
  • Prepare and submit compelling proposals, bids, and tenders for government and quasi-government projects, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and client expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure high-value deals while maintaining profitability and alignment with Grundfos standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., technical support, logistics, and finance) to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Pump House and Grundfos at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote innovative pump and water technology solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Grundfos product portfolios, industry regulations, and technological advancements to position Pump House as a market leader.
  • Provide regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, project progress, and revenue forecasts, to the Sales Manager/Director.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track client interactions, sales activities, and project milestones.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and process improvements.
  • Deliver Grundfos pump solutions for residential buildings, small-scale infrastructure, and private developers.
  • Target commercial real estate, office complexes, hospitals, and industrial facilities requiring high-performance Grundfos pump systems.
  • Engage with state water boards, federal governments, World Bank programs, NGOs, and municipal authorities for large-scale water supply, treatment, and distribution projects using Grundfos technologies.
  • Secure contracts for water management and distribution systems powered by Grundfos solutions.
  • Bid on infrastructure projects requiring advanced pump and water technologies.
  • Collaborate on global water supply and sanitation initiatives.
  • Partner on community-driven water projects in underserved regions.
  • Provide Grundfos solutions for urban water infrastructure and township developments.
  • Pursue tenders and RFPs for public sector initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the pump and water technology industry, with a focus on representing OEMs, preferably Grundfos or similar brands.
  • Proven success in securing government and quasi-government contracts, including experience with state water boards, federal agencies, or international organizations (e.g., World Bank, NGOs).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects for cities, townships, or public infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Grundfos pump technologies, water management systems, and OEM product applications.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in navigating complex procurement processes and government regulations.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Certifications: Industry-specific certifications (e.g., pump systems, water management, or project management) are advantageous.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, or oversee project implementations.
