Position: Safety Officer

Salary: ₦150,000 Monthly
Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-Hour Break)
About the Role:
A reputable metal construction company is hiring a vigilant and qualified Safety Officer to enforce health and safety protocols across its operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in industrial safety and be highly disciplined—no use of phones is allowed while on duty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with all site HSE policies and regulations
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce use of PPE by all staff
- Organize regular safety drills, inductions, and training sessions
- Identify hazards and mitigate risks proactively
- Prepare safety reports, risk assessments, and incident documentation
- Coordinate with site supervisors and HR to implement disciplinary actions when necessary
- Ensure fire safety equipment and procedures are up-to-date
- Maintain an accident-free workplace through active monitoring and intervention
Requirements:
- Must possess ISPON Levels 1, 2, & 3 certifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of safety experience in construction or metal works
- In-depth knowledge of industrial safety codes and procedures
- Physically fit and highly observant
- Must be firm, assertive, and committed to enforcing safety protocols
- Ability to work in high-risk environments with full attention to detail
- Must be highly professional—use of mobile phones during work hours is strictly prohibited
