JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budget planning, procurement, contract administration, and cost control across all phases of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tender documents, contracts, and project budgets (materials and labour).
• Develop cash flow projections and administrative documentation.
• Generate material schedules and procurement plans for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Administer contracts with internal and external subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress and compliance with the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and approved budgets.
• Monitor project variations and additional works, securing cost approval before site execution.
• Prepare and submit payment valuations; ensure timely payment collections from clients.
• Review, scrutinize, and certify subcontractor progress claims; make accurate payment recommendations.
• Initiate and track payments for subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers (labourers and subcontractors).
• Prepare final accounts and close-out documentation for completed projects.
• Monitor and report on project expenditures on a daily/weekly basis.
• Provide monthly cost reports and financial summaries to management and/or clients.
• Review project timelines and status updates from site managers, and adjust financial or operational plans as needed.
• Set and enforce cost targets for all on-site activities.
• Perform pre-activity cost evaluations and give cost recommendations accordingly.
• Ensure high performance standards, professional conduct, and integrity with a focus on project profitability.
Carry out additional tasks and assignments as delegated by management.

Work Schedule & Location:

• Must be physically present at the office or project sites at least three (3) times a week .
• Signing into the attendance log (on-site or office) is mandatory.
May be deployed to other project sites as necessary according to the work schedule.

Duration of Agreement:

• Three (3) months , renewable based on performance.
