Overview
The Program and Communications Manager at Taicorp Group is responsible for leading strategic program development and communications efforts to advance Taicorp’s mission of promoting gender equity. This role involves designing and executing long-term programs, developing digital marketing campaigns, managing a team of interns and volunteers, fostering partnerships, securing funding, monitoring program impact, and advocating for gender-related policies especially for Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) but not limited to it. The manager will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Program Development
Lead Program Design : Develop long-term programs aligned with WIN’s objectives to address gender-related issues.
Execute Work Plans : Create and implement annual work plans for program activities, ensuring timely execution.
Innovate Solutions : Brainstorm creative approaches to tackle gender equity challenges, incorporating input from interns and volunteers.
2. Communications and Digital Marketing
Develop Campaigns: Design and execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising, to promote Taicorp’s mission.
Manage Social Media Presence: Build and maintain Taicorp’s social media presence on platforms like X, LinkedIn, and Instagram, ensuring consistent branding and engagement.
Optimize User Experience: Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and enhance end-to-end user experiences across multiple channels.
Measure Performance: Track and report on campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, assessing results against goals and optimizing based on insights.
3. Team Leadership
Supervise and Mentor: Lead and mentor a team of interns and volunteers, assigning tasks such as content creation, data analysis, and program support.
Build Capacity: Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team efficiency and impact.
Foster Collaboration: Create an inclusive environment, encouraging contributions and innovation from team members.
4. Partnerships and Networking
Build Relationships: Establish and maintain partnerships with local and international donors, stakeholders, and organizations.
Represent Taicorp: Attend key events, meetings, and conferences to expand Taicorp’s network and visibility.
Coordinate with Partners: Collaborate with agencies and vendor partners to support program and campaign execution.
5. Revenue Generation
Secure Funding: Develop strategies to obtain funding through grants, partnerships, and donations.
Support Fundraising: Work with the fundraising team to meet revenue targets, including drafting grant proposals and donor pitches.
6. Program Monitoring and Reporting
Oversee M&E: Monitor and evaluate program outcomes to measure success and impact, involving interns/volunteers in data collection and analysis.
Prepare Reports: Ensure timely submission of donor reports and program performance updates, maintaining accuracy and alignment with Taicorp’s standards.
Optimize Processes: Use insights from data to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
7. Resource Management
Allocate Resources: Ensure efficient allocation of resources across projects, including assets like laptops and software.
Monitor Budgets: Track program budgets to prevent overspending and ensure accountability, involving interns/volunteers in budget updates.
Maintain Assets: Oversee asset assignments and ensure proper use and documentation.
8. Innovation and Advocacy
Drive Innovation: Lead brainstorming sessions to develop creative program and campaign ideas, engaging interns/volunteers in the process.
Advocate for Change: Promote policies supporting gender equity through strategic communication, such as policy briefs and social media campaigns.
Provide Thought Leadership: Offer perspectives on adopting innovative approaches to advance Taicorp’s mission.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Gender Studies, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 4-5 years of experience in program management, digital marketing, or communications, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Proven track record in leading teams, managing campaigns, and securing funding.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to manage interns and volunteers.
- Expertise in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Mailchimp) and SEO/SEM strategies.
- Excellent communication and networking skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical ability to evaluate campaign performance and user experience. Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
