Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on Production Lead to oversee the daily production of chinchin at a commercial scale. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, maintaining product quality, managing production staff, keeping track of materials and inventory, and working closely with the CEO, offtakers, and vendors. Candidate must be hands-on and is fully responsible for recipe development and product consistency, as well as the scalability of the recipe with production and the addition of other variants. This is a key role in helping us meet growing customer demand.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Daily Production Operations:
- Organise and manage daily chinchin production to meet targets.
- Ensure products meet quality, weight, and texture standards.
- Quickly resolve any issues that slow down or stop production. Keep the production area clean, safe, and well-organised.
Team Supervision:
- Manage and guide a small team (2–3 people).
- Train staff on proper procedures and safety. Ensure everyone follows their tasks and works efficiently.
Inventory & Material Control:
- Track raw materials, ingredients, and packaging stock.
- Work with the procurement team to make sure materials are available on time. Monitor stock levels and help avoid shortages or overstocking.
Coordination with Offtakers & Vendors:
- Communicate with offtakers (buyers) to align on delivery schedules.
- Ensure finished products are ready and meet agreed standards. Help resolve any delays or product-related issues with external partners.
Quality & Food Safety:
- Make sure production follows food safety rules (e.g. hygiene, proper packaging).
- Monitor product quality and consistency during and after production. Assist with product testing and inspections.
Maintenance & Equipment Use:
- Ensure machines are properly used and cleaned.
- Work with maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns. Monitor how well resources (time, people, materials) are used.
Reporting & Improvement:
- Record daily production output, waste, and material use.
- Highlight issues or improvements to the CEO. Suggest better ways to improve efficiency, reduce cost, or boost quality.
Requirements:
- HND/B.Sc in Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Food safety or quality certifications (e.g. HACCP) are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food production role, ideally in FMCG or snack manufacturing.
- Experience producing chinchin or similar snacks is highly preferred.
- Previous experience managing small teams is required. Strong understanding of inventory tracking and raw material planning.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or basic inventory systems.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and work under pressure.
- Organised, responsible, and detail-oriented. Basic knowledge of cost management and reporting.
