Safera is a trauma-informed, AI-integrated platform dedicated to protecting and supporting women and girls experiencing online abuse across Africa. We provide a secure space for reporting digital harm anonymously, accessing localized safety tools, and receiving legal, psychological, and forensic support through trusted local partners.

Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a Product Designer at Safera. The Product Designer will be responsible for conducting user research, designing product interfaces, creating visual designs, and applying design thinking to develop effective solutions. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing design prototypes, and iterating based on user feedback.

You’d Be a Good Fit If You Have:

• Visual Design and Product Design skills
• Experience in Design Thinking and UX Research
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
Experience in the non-profit or advocacy sector is a plus
