Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of goods and services both locally and internationally. The role involves handling importation processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high standards of quality in line with the company’s policies and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and identify reliable suppliers/vendors locally and internationally.
- Manage the importation process, including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the most competitive deals.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services required by the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
- Monitor market trends and changes in supply/demand to identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to forecast needs and align procurement strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant procurement experience, with exposure to importation processes.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Strong knowledge of local and international sourcing and procurement best practices.
- Good understanding of import/export documentation and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦230,000.00 - ₦240,000.00 per month
