- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for mining equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services.
- Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of critical materials to avoid downtime in operations.
- Identify, qualify, and maintain a robust vendor database and develop strategic supplier relationships to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and assist in forecasting demand based on consumption trends and project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, preferably within the mining, heavy industry, or engineering sector.
- Knowledge of mining equipment, spare parts, and service procurement is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
