Job Summary
The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for designing and developing procurement plans and strategies to identify cost-effective deals. The Procurement manager will develop strategies for cost reduction and decrease procurement expenses to achieve financial goals. Analyzes market trends and provides recommendations to enhance procurement effectiveness and drive performance.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervises the coordination and evaluation of the procurement process for the organisation.
- Oversees end-to-end procurement projects.
- Approves all requisitions and purchase orders before purchase.
- Approves the ordering of necessary raw materials and goods.
- Designs and develops, and ensures implementation of procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
- Sets policy and guidelines for delivering a cost-effective procurement process for the business.
- Builds and develops key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
- Develops and implements changes to newly developed processes to enhance the procurement of goods and services.
- Discovers profitable suppliers and initiates business and organisation partnerships.
- Approves and reviews procurement policies and procedures.
- Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Analyzes market trends and provides recommendations to enhance procurement effectiveness and drive performance.
- Foresees alterations with negotiations with suppliers and clients and comes to a compromise while maintaining quality standards.
- Performs risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Controls spending and builds a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs. Performs other duties as assigned by the supply chain manager
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience
- BSc. Degree in a relevant course of study
