Job Description/Requirements
NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Energy access and resilience initiative for Northern Uganda and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.
The overall objective of this assignment is to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all in Northern Uganda, with a focus on vulnerable groups, productive use of energy and rural communities, in line with the Uganda's Vision 2040 and the NationalElectrification Strategy.
Location : Gulu, with fieldwork in key districts across Northern Uganda.
Duration : The indicative start date is 15 October 2025 and the period of implementation of the specific contract will be 365 days from this date. Indicative end date: 14 October 2026 .
Power System Expert
️ Qualifications and skills:
- B.Sc. in electrical or electromechanical Engineering ( minimum requirement ).
- A Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant and related field would be preferable . Fluency in oral and written English.
️ General professional experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience in power system analysis of distribution lines/networks design using computer software.️ Specific professional experience:
- At least 3 experiences during the past 10 years of MV/LV grid design, including preliminary and detailed design (including technical design studies) for rural electrification projects. At least 2 experiences during the past 10 years of modelling and electric calculations for MV/LV grids (preferably using PSS Sincal software), including load flow analysis (power distribution), load estimation and allocation, short circuits and optimal sizing and location of capacitors.
