Requirements:
- Minimum of a Pharmacy Technician certification or OND in related fields.
- Valid certification or license as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous work experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Receive and confirm prescription orders from patients or healthcare providers.
- Label and package medications appropriately.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, placing orders, and removing expired drugs.
- Provide information to patients on proper medication usage when delegated by the pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records as required.
- Assist in compounding medications under the pharmacist’s direction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area.
