Job Summary
The Onboarding Officer will be responsible for welcoming new customers to the platform, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience while maintaining strict adherence to KYC and AML policies. This role is pivotal in setting the tone for our client relationship and ensuring regulatory compliance from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide new customers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Review and verify customer documents in line with KYC, AML, and internal compliance standards.
- Conduct initial risk assessments and flag high-risk profiles for enhanced due diligence (EDD).
- Work collaboratively with the Compliance and Customer Support teams to resolve onboarding-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date onboarding records in the CRM and compliance platforms.
- Communicate onboarding status, requirements, and issues clearly to customers.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and company policies related to KYC/AML.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and enhance the customer experience.
- Participate in periodic audits, trainings, and internal reviews as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- 1–3 years experience in customer onboarding, KYC, compliance, or related roles—preferably in a fintech, bank, or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of KYC and AML regulatory requirements in Nigeria and internationally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with CRM or onboarding platforms.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month
