Network and Server/Storage Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Network and Server/Storage Specialist to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our core IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing enterprise servers, storage solutions, and network systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and security across the organization.

This role requires someone with strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
• Manage and optimize enterprise storage environments (SAN/NAS), including provisioning, backups, replication, and disaster recovery
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and storage availability, ensuring high uptime and resilience
• Automate server and storage tasks using scripts or infrastructure tools
• Configure and maintain core networking devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN gateways
• Administer and monitor LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
• Ensure secure network access and manage firewall policies and intrusion prevention systems (IPS)
• Enforce security protocols and patch management for systems and network devices
• Perform routine security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation plans
• Maintain compliance with data protection and IT governance standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR)
• Provide Level 2/3 support for infrastructure-related incidents
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes
• Collaborate with other IT teams (Helpdesk, DevOps, Cloud) to support business operations and projects
• Participate in capacity planning, technology upgrades, and system migrations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in server, storage, and network infrastructure management
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching
• Experience with storage technologies such as RAID, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, or iSCSI
• Familiarity with enterprise backup and monitoring solutions (e.g., Veeam, Acronis, Zabbix, PRTG)
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) for task automation

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₦500,000.00 - ₦550,000.00 per month
