Job Description
- Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples (blood, urine, tissues, etc.) for laboratory testing.
- Perform routine and complex tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and blood banking.
- Ensure the validity, accuracy, and reliability of test results through proper procedures and quality control.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and perform internal and external quality control procedures to maintain compliance with laboratory standards.
- Prepare reports on laboratory operations, workload, and inventory when required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare teams to provide input for patient diagnosis and care.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
- Valid license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate results under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory management systems and computer literacy.
