Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Marine Engineer located in Warri. The Marine Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of all marine machinery and systems. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing the operation of ship engines, performing regular maintenance to ensure optimal functioning, troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Marine Engineer will also participate in planning and coordinating shipyard projects and collaborating with other engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in marine engineering principles, including the design, development, installation, and maintenance of marine machinery and systems
• Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues within marine environments
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and ensuring compliance within the maritime industry
• Skills in planning, coordinating projects, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and on-site
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field
Experience with offshore operations and the oil & gas industry is a plus
