We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a strong background in fleet management to oversee transportation operations, optimize delivery efficiency, and ensure the smooth movement of goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s fleet, coordinating logistics activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Fleet Management
- Manage fleet acquisition, leasing, and disposal strategies to meet operational demands.
- Ensure timely maintenance, servicing, and repairs of all company vehicles to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement fleet management policies to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor vehicle tracking systems to ensure proper routing, fuel efficiency, and on-time deliveries.
- Implement safety and compliance measures, including driver training and adherence to road transport regulations.
- Track and analyze fleet performance metrics such as fuel consumption, mileage, and repair costs.
- Familiar with law enforcement agencies and haulage sticker requirements
- Handling of all vehicle registration and insurance. Ability to manage a fleet of over 50 trucks and cars
Logistics & Operations
- Effective allocation of trucks to drivers and optimize turnaround time of loading and deliveries.
- Plan and coordinate transportation of goods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop logistics strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce transit times.
- Work closely with customer service, warehouse and Autoworkshop
- Negotiate contracts with 3 rd party transportation service providers and ensure quality service delivery. Monitor and resolve delivery issues, route delays, and transportation-related challenges.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to fleet and logistics operations.
- Implement and enforce driver safety policies, including training on defensive driving and emergency response. Maintain accurate records of vehicle documentation, including insurance, licenses, and inspection reports.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Develop cost-effective strategies for fuel management, route optimization, and vehicle maintenance.
- Analyze logistics and fleet management data to identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports on fleet performance, cost analysis, and operational efficiency for management review
Requirements:
- BSc. in Engineering, Business Administration or its equivalent.
- Certification in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Proven experience in logistics and fleet management, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution industries.
- Strong knowledge of fleet tracking systems and supply chain principles.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze data, optimize routes, and manage cost-efficient operations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in transportation.
- Strong presentation and MS Office skills
- Candidate with Mechanical Engineering background is an added advantage
- 5-7years experience in a similar position
- Should not be more than 35years of age
