Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- A bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences or an LL.B. from an accredited university.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance services.
- Ability to provide sound and well-researched advice on legal and regulatory compliance matters.
- Ability to interact at various levels and to develop strong client relationships.
- Must possess excellent communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must possess negotiation, team building, and excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent drafting and document review capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordination of client meetings—Board of Directors, Board Committees, and General Meetings.
- Attendance at the meetings as well as preparation and circulation of minutes, action points, and matters arising from the meetings in a timely manner.
- Provide timely and quality feedback to the company’s clients on the status of ongoing engagements.
- Ensuring maintenance of statutory registers (including minute books, register of directors, register of members, and register of charges) as well as the corporate seal.
- Filing of all statutory returns, including annual returns, relevant resolutions, and changes in the Board or charges against the company’s assets.
- Participation in Board Evaluation Engagements.
- Review of contractual documents.
- Undertake registration processes with all regulatory agencies.
- Advice on company restructuring.
- Conduct of legal due diligence.
