Job Summary:

The role involves supporting the development and implementation of company compliance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to corporate governance principles and promoting ethical business practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of company compliance policies and procedures

• Maintain proper documentation of legal and compliance-related activities

• Assist in drafting, updating, and enforcing internal policies and procedures

• Promote ethical business practices and corporate governance principles

• Maintain proper documentation of legal and compliance-related activities
  

Competence Requirement:

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and detail-orientated

• Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to Verraki’s business

• Problem-solving skills to assess legal situations and make informed decisions

• Knowledge of corporate laws, governance principles, and ethical standards

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community

• Research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  

Professional Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B, BL) is required

• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification relevant experience

• Experience in a corporate legal department or consulting firm is an added advantage
