Role Overview:
We are looking for a focused and resourceful individual who can help grow our business directory by finding new leads (businesses that should be listed) and following up with potential clients consistently. You will play a critical role in converting businesses from free to paid listings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business leads across online platforms, directories, and social media
- Constantly contact leads via email, phone, WhatsApp, or social media.
- Build and maintain a lead database (with company name, contact person, phone number, email, status).
- Schedule and follow up on calls or meetings with interested businesses.
- Send out pitch decks, sample listings, and pricing information.
- Track and update lead stages: Contacted, Interested, In Progress, Converted, or Not Interested.
- Coordinate with the content or listings team once a lead is converted.
- Provide weekly reports on outreach activity, leads generated, and conversions.
- Suggest improvements to outreach messages and lead management workflow.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal in English; Hausa or Pidgin is a plus).
- Must be comfortable making calls and following up persistently.
- Experience with CRMs, Google Sheets, or basic lead tracking tools is preferred.
- Prior experience in sales, telemarketing, customer service, or business development is a plus.
- Reliable internet connection if working remotely.
- Self-motivated and organized.
KPIs (Performance Benchmarks):
- Number of qualified leads added per week
- Contact attempts and follow-up frequency
- Conversion rate to paid listings
- Response rate from outreach messages
Compensation:
- Base salary (negotiable based on experience)
- Performance-based bonuses for lead conversions
- Data allowance and airtime top-ups for calls
