Job Summary
We are looking to hire a Laundry Agent who will be responsible for the cleaning, drying, ironing, folding, and delivery of clothes and linens in our hotels.
- Minimum Qualification : High School (S.S.C.E)
- Experience Level : No Experience
- Experience Length : No Experience/Less than 1 year
- Working Hours : Full Time
Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Sorting laundry: Separate items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements.
- Washing & drying: Operate washing machines and dryers according to fabric care instructions.
- Ironing & steaming: Press clothing and linens to remove wrinkles.
- Folding & packaging: Neatly fold cleaned items and prepare them for delivery or storage.
- Stain removal: Treat stained fabrics using appropriate chemicals or methods.
- Inventory control: Keep track of laundry items and supplies, and report damaged or missing items.
- Guest service: Handle guest laundry requests and ensure timely delivery (if in a hotel).
- Maintenance: Ensure laundry equipment is clean and functional; report faults when necessary.
- Hygiene standards: Follow safety and cleanliness protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of laundry processes and chemicals
- Physical stamina for long hours of standing, lifting, and folding
- Attention to detail (e.g., spotting stains, sorting fabrics correctly)
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills (especially in guest-facing environments)
