Fieldbase is hiring a Laboratory and Warehouse Administrator to support its engineering and operations teams in Port Harcourt. You’ll manage our lab and warehouse, maintain training and certification records, and work closely with our internal development team to shape the future of our inventory application.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Administration
- Maintain a clean, well-organised, and fully functional technical lab
- Support engineers with equipment testing, diagnostics, and configuration
- Log equipment that has been tested, calibrated, or repaired
- Monitor availability of lab consumables, tools, and spares Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and properly certified
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Manage inventory across Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Abuja warehouses
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming stock and equipment
- Coordinate dispatch and logistics to support engineering jobs
- Maintain proper labeling, secure storage, and efficient retrieval of items
- Conduct routine inventory audits and update records accurately
- Administer Fieldbase’s internal inventory management system Collaborate with the development team to improve the inventory system based on real usage
HSE & Compliance Support
- Enforce HSE standards in the warehouse, lab, and general operations
- Record toolbox talks, incident reports, and safety briefings
- Promote correct use of PPE and support ongoing safety audits Identify opportunities to improve safety and operational efficiency
Training & Certification Records
- Track and maintain up-to-date training logs and certification status for engineers
- Coordinate logistics for technical training and renewal programs Track project/job documentation for compliance and audit readiness
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work as part of the Operations Department while interfacing with Engineering, Sales, and Management
- Assist in aligning logistics and warehouse processes with company-wide operational goals Be a problem-solver who constantly looks for ways to streamline systems and processes
Who You Are
Education & Experience
- OND, HND, or BSc in Engineering, Logistics, or related field
- 2+ years in technical support, inventory, logistics, or warehouse admin roles
- Experience working with inventory software or compliance systems Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across technical teams is a plus
Skills & Mindset
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Familiar with technical tools, spares, and engineering environments
- Proficient in Excel, digital inventory platforms, and office software
- Systems mindset – always seeking improvements or automation opportunities
- Comfortable engaging with developers and non-technical stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Working Conditions
- Based full-time in Port Harcourt (office, lab, and warehouse)
- Use of PPE is mandatory in designated areas
- Occasional support required for logistics or audits in Lagos and Abuja May travel for training sessions, system testing, or warehouse coordination
