Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Insurance Unit Sales Manager to lead and manage our frontline sales team. This hybrid role, primarily based in Lagos, offers the flexibility of partial remote work and the opportunity to help shape the future of insurance distribution in Nigeria.
As a Insurance Unit Sales Manager, you will play a strategic leadership role in recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing sales force. You will be instrumental in delivering sales targets, supporting business growth, and championing customer-centric insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruit & Lead: Identify, onboard, and manage a team of Financial Advisors within your assigned region.
- Train & Develop: Facilitate comprehensive training programs covering product knowledge, sales techniques, and client relationship management.
- Sales Execution: Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager and Regional Coordinator to drive Life and General Insurance product sales.
- Performance Monitoring: Track team performance, generate analytical reports, and provide feedback to enhance results.
- Product Expertise: Guide the team in effectively positioning Life Insurance, General Insurance, Annuities, Investment-linked products, and Protection Plans.
- Customer Experience: Promote best-in-class customer engagement and long-term client relationship strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance sales or financial services.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and digital sales tools.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance solutions and financial planning strategies.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a proactive and strategic approach.
