- The HR Officer will support the daily operations of the Human Resources department by administering HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- The role involves maintaining employee records, facilitating recruitment processes, onboarding, performance management support, payroll coordination, and promoting a positive organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in talent acquisition processes including posting job ads, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Maintain and update employee records (soft and hard copies) in compliance with HR best practices and data protection laws.
- Support the execution of employee engagement initiatives and internal communication activities.
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.) and liaise with Finance when necessary.
- Support the performance appraisal process and ensure timely documentation and feedback collation.
- Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism) and assist in preparing monthly HR reports.
- Support compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Facilitate employee onboarding, orientation, and documentation processes.
- Administer and monitor leave, attendance, and time-off schedules.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department and handle HR-related queries and requests from employees.
- Coordinate training and development activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the energy or oil and gas sector
- Professional certification in HR (CIPM,CIHRM, PHRi, SHRM) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS software.
