Job Description/Requirements
The HR Manager will establish and oversee all human resource functions for the new solar manufacturing plant, including recruitment, policy implementation, employee relations, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up HR frameworks, policies, and procedures from scratch.
- Lead recruitment for blue-collar and white-collar roles.
- Drive employee onboarding, training, and development programs.
- Manage payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems.
- Foster positive employee relations and handle grievances.
- Oversee compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Conduct performance appraisals and support career development.
- Develop retention strategies to reduce turnover.
- Monitor workforce productivity and propose improvement plans.
- Ensure alignment of HR practices with business objectives.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics for management.
Collaborate with management on strategic workforce planning. -
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor law.
- Experience managing blue-collar workers.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office tools.
- CIPM certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a startup/greenfield environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
