Job Summary
As a House Cook, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our client are provided with exceptional culinary experiences. Your expertise in meal planning, food preparation, and presentation will directly impact the overall satisfaction and well-being of the household members. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, culinary skills, and dedication to producing meals that are both visually appealing and palate-pleasing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and snacks, following established recipes and portion sizes.
- Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all food items as and well due.
- Maintain a clean and organised work station, practising proper food handling and sanitation techniques to ensure food safety and hygiene.
- Monitor and control food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Assist in the inventory management of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders when necessary to maintain stock levels.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of perishable items, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment, and practicing safe food handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with portion control and waste management guidelines to minimize food costs and maintain profitability.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with your employer, ensuring effective communication and cooperation.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including meal timings, multitasking, and coordination with other household staff members to ensure smooth meal service.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or residential/in-house cook.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food preparation methods.
- In-depth understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for food and a dedication to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
