A Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests at a hotel. The role involves welcoming guests, checking them in and out, managing reservations, handling inquiries, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience throughout their stay.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly on arrival with a smile and professional demeanor
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the hotel’s system
- Manage room reservations (by phone, email, or in-person) accurately
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions
- Answer and direct incoming calls and handle guest inquiries
- Handle guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary
- Receive and process payments (cash, card, POS) and issue receipts/invoices
- Maintain the front desk area in a neat and welcoming condition
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction Maintain accurate records of bookings, cancellations, and payments
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and hotel booking software (e.g., Opera, Protel, or similar)
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Minimum of SSCE/OND; additional qualifications in hospitality or tourism is an advantage
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or front desk role is preferred Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Shift-based work (including weekends, holidays, and nights)
- Standing for long periods
- Interactions with diverse guests and handling varied guest demands
