To be in charge of cooking, supervising, and coordinating all activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, store room, plus purchases or requisitions of foodstuffs and all kitchen supplies. To research, develop, and plan menus for the pleasure of Residents, resolve menu inconsistencies, plan menus for special occasions, and change test and set menus.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals to high standards while ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Maintain strict hygienic conditions at all times to prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses.
- Engage with residents to understand their dietary needs and menu preferences.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the residence kitchen, ensuring seamless operations.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances to guarantee functionality and safety.
- Enforce safety and security procedures for all kitchen activities and assets.
- Supervise the cleanliness and organization of the entire kitchen environment.
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports on residence kitchen activities for management. Ensure effective inventory control and coordinate procurement of kitchen supplies when necessary.
Requirements:
- Culinary degree, certification, or relevant qualification in hospitality, catering, or related field.
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a chef, kitchen manager, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and nutritional standards.
- Excellent cooking and menu planning skills tailored to diverse dietary needs.
- Ability to manage kitchen staff, schedules, and workflows effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in reporting and documentation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with residents and management.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards consistently.
