Head, Consulting & Talent Development - JD
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head, Consulting & Talent Development to join our client, A prestigious management consulting firm located in Lagos, Nigeria. This well-established organisation has built a reputation dedicated to empowering people and organisations to reach their full potential.
The Head of Consulting & Talent Development plays a strategic and operational role, overseeing both external consulting services and internal talent development initiatives
The following competencies are essential to drive business growth, develop talent and deliver high-quality services to clients.
- A minimum of Second-Class Upper Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, ATD) is an added advantage.
- At least 10 years HR experience in reputable Organisations.
Strategic Leadership
- Define vision and strategy for consulting and talent development in alignment with overall business goals.
- Set performance goals and KPIs for both consulting projects and talent programs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify Organisational capability gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Consulting Services Oversight
- Lead the design, delivery, and management of consulting engagements (e.g., Organisational development, change management, leadership development).
- Ensure high-quality project delivery, client satisfaction, and measurable impact.
- Manage a team of consultants and external partners where applicable.
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, pitches, and client relationship management.
Talent Development Strategy
- Develop and implement talent development programs, including leadership training, succession planning, and performance management.
- Drive learning and development (L&D) initiatives, including digital learning, coaching, and mentoring.
- Establish competency frameworks, career paths, and employee development plans.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with HR, business unit leaders, and external vendors to deliver effective solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent and Organisational effectiveness.
Data & Insights
- Use data to measure program effectiveness and ROI; continuously improve offerings.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging practices in talent and consulting.
Team Leadership & Budget Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Manage department budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
Business Acumen
- Ability to develop and articulate overall strategy for the business arm in alignment with business goals.
- Ability to implement business strategies that drive growth and revenue.
Financial Understanding:
