Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations and food preparation
- Design and update creative, cost-effective menus
- Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, and presentation standards
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation policies
- Manage food inventory and control waste
- Coordinate closely with restaurant management on planning and budgeting Ensure timely service and resolve kitchen delays swiftly
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Proven leadership and kitchen management skills
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian, continental, and fusion cuisines
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building abilities
- Culinary certification or degree is an advantage
