Job Summary
Our client is provider of a range of engineering & asset integrity services to the oil & gas sector in the Gulf of Guinea who is seeking to hire a Chartered Finance Manager to oversee all accounting and finance functions of the Group of companies, maintaining separate accounts for the Group. He will also make sure that we comply with all statutory & legal requirements to operate in Equatorial Guinea.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Finance & Accounting Operation
- Develop and implement accounting procedures including but not limited to the following: Payroll Procedures Tax Administration and Management Travel & Reimbursement Procedures Money handling & Banking Procedures
- Ensure staffs are well-oriented on the policies, procedures, and work instructions of your department.
2. Finance Administration
- Ensure the monthly reconciliation of all ledgers and sub-ledgers.
- Compile the company’s monthly and quarterly management reports to the MD including: Payroll Journal Accruals Management Sales Analysis Profit & Loss
- Balance Sheet
- Cash flow
- Review & Analysis of month end financials
- Bank reconciliation reports
- Audit/ compliance reports
3. Budgeting / Forecasting & Reporting
- Co-ordinate and prepare annual budgets, including operating and capital expenditure budgets and continuously monitor planned vs. actual.
- Ensure the accurate preparation / reporting of monthly financial results in strict accordance with Company policies.
- Ensure job costing is completed and reported by end of month to the MD.
- Where required, provide assistance / direction to managers with regards to the preparation of budgets.
- Review monthly cash flow to ascertain monthly cash requirement to ensure that business cash flow adequately supports company work activities and produces optimal results.
4. Asset Management
- Ensure all company assets are monitored and accurately accounted for.
- Ensure the fixed assets register is managed and maintained with strict adherence to “fixed assets register procedure”. Monitor and track equipment register for consentience with records.
- On a monthly basis ensure the general ledger is reconciled to the assets register. Advise when an asset needs to be sold off or replaced i.e. vehicles etc.
5. Regulation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure that all monthly taxes are paid on time including but not limited to INSESO, IRPF, FP, IVA, Withholding Taxes etc.
- Ensure that all annual taxes are filed and paid on time including CMF, DEF etc.
- On an annual basis reconcile gross wages, group tax, payroll tax, etc against general ledger for review by Directors.
- Collect and collate all necessary documentation in readiness and preparation of company tax return & audited.
- As requested, perform specified elements of the company tax return for review by external accountants.
6. Cost Estimating/ Project Cost Control/ Margin calculations from J/Vs
- Provide assistance with products & service costing to ensure reasonable profit margins.
- Oversee cost estimating & cost control of the company’s oil & gas bids/projects/ contracts.
- Oversee the estimation of project costs based on Bill of Materials, labor cost, supplier & subcontractor quotes, transport community issues & project specifications.
- Oversee margin calculations from projects executed with our J/V partners to ensure reasonable margins for us.
- Update and keep current “Job Costing Statistics” for all oil & gas projects/ contracts.
REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Must be a member of the ACCA
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry
- Valid international passport
- Hands-on position that requires experience in a financial managerial role.
- Working knowledge of accounting discipline such as financial accounting, compliance reporting and budget preparation as well as systems development and improvement is essential.
- Computer literacy particular reference to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, with an accounting package like Sage, Peachtree or Quickbooks, and selected job specific software.

Pay: ₦1,800,000.00 - ₦2,000,000.00 per month
