Nexxus HR Consulting is seeking a motivated and results-driven Grant and research officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving growth by identifying new grants opportunities for start-up businesses, draft proposals, and developing strategic plans to get grants awarded to the organization.
This position requires a proactive approach to grant researching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work remotely and find opportunities in all countries.
Duties
- Conduct thorough research to identify relevant grant opportunities aligned with the consulting firm's and its clients' goals.
- Apply for grants on behalf of the organization; international and local grants and sponsorships.
- This includes identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, managing the application process, and monitoring grant implementation and reporting.
- Understand the grant landscape, including different funding agencies, their priorities, and specific requirements.
- Develop compelling and well-structured grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and required supporting documentation.
- Work closely with consultants, project teams, and clients to gather information and develop proposal content.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with funding agencies, clients, and internal teams throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Funding Tracking System:Follow tender and grant opportunities from over 850 Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), UN Agencies, International Organizations, Bilateral Development Agencies, INGOs, Foundations, and more;
Qualifications
- Proven experience in research on grants for Start-up businesses.
- Experience working in a startup organization
- Grant officer portfolio
- Experience working in a consulting firm
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable plans.
