Job Summary:
The General Manager Buka will oversee all Prixair Buka locations within Abuja (FCT) and Minna, ensuring a consistent standard of authentic Nigerian local cuisine, exceptional customer service, hygienic food handling, and operational excellence ensuring efficient quick service and ala carte.
The GM will coordinate all branch activities, enforce company-wide standards, and supervise branch managers and kitchen teams to maintain the unique Prixair Buka identity across every outlet.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership Management:
Oversee daily operations of all Prixair Buka branches in Abuja and Minna offering quick service and ala carte.
Implement and enforce consistent operating procedures across all outlets.
Ensure all dishes reflect the rich culinary traditions of Nigeria while maintaining uniform taste, quality, and presentation.
Quality Assurance & Standardization:
Conduct regular visits and surprise inspections at each outlet to assess food quality, hygiene, and service delivery.
Monitor adherence to Prixair's standardized recipes, food preparation methods, and presentation style.
Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards as per local regulatory guidelines.
Menu Engineering:
Develop and manage menus for quick service and à la carte.
Ensure menu items meet quality and taste standards.
Introduce new menu items and promotions.
Kitchen Management:
Manage kitchen staff and ensure efficient food preparation.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
Ensure proper food storage and handling practices.
Marketing and Sales:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to meet monthly targets.
- Analyze sales data and adjust strategies accordingly.
Team Coordination & Staff Supervision:
Directly manage and support branch managers and kitchen supervisors.
Organize training sessions on local food preparation techniques, food safety, and customer relations.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high team morale and productivity.
Inventory, Procurement & Cost Control:
Oversee inventory planning, purchasing, and stock control across branches.
Work closely with the procurement team to source fresh, quality ingredients.
Minimize waste and optimize ingredient usage to maximize profit margins.
Customer Experience & Brand Consistency:
Monitor customer satisfaction levels through feedback, reviews, and in-person visits.
Resolve escalated customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Uphold the Prixair brand image and values in every branch interaction.
Reporting & Strategy:
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management review.
Analyze branch performance metrics and implement improvements.
Recommend and support expansion initiatives, menu development, and promotional campaigns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 9 years of multi-unit restaurant or food service management experience, preferably in Nigerian local food operations.
Deep knowledge and appreciation of Nigerian cuisine and cultural preferences.
Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage teams across multiple locations.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and people management skills.
Proficient in the use of POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic data reporting.
Ability to travel frequently between Abuja and Minna branches.
Working Conditions:
Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Regular travel between Prixair Buka branches in Abuja and Minna is required.
