Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
- Support accurate financial reporting and analysis periodically.
- Support financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budget models, and variance analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
- Support operational financial responsibilities and activities with relevant teams.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity in line with operational needs.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, including financial, credit, and exchange risks.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and support the tax function.
- Maintain internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Monitor and analyse industry trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making as required.
- Follow finance processes in line with the working day timetable
- Support Audit activities in conjunction with relevant teams.
- Preparation of monthly, interim, and year-end financial reports. Ad-hoc tasks and activities.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance, preferably within sectors such as Technology or Financial Services
- Must have professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite
- Ability to use SAGE or similar financial tools and systems
- Experience in operational finance activities and reporting is a must.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, SAGE) or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a must.
- Familiarity with CBN regulations and IFRS reporting standards.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and financial compliance in Nigeria
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
