Job Description/Requirements
We are seeking dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Representatives to promote and expand our SME vehicle-backed loan product. This role involves direct market engagement with informal and semi-formal business operators in high-potential commercial clusters across Lagos. Ideal candidates will have experience in FMCG sales, POS/Agency Banking, or lending and thrive in fast-paced, field-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive loan demand generation and disbursement by engaging business owners in target zones such as Mile 12, Owode, Alaba, Ladipo, Wharf, and Apapa.
- Build lasting relationships with vehicle-backed SMEs, logistics operators, and FMCG wholesalers.
- Educate prospective clients on product benefits, disbursement process, and collateral requirements.
- Achieve a minimum of one complete loan application per day through direct field engagement.
- Maintain accurate tracking of leads, interactions, and application status using internal tools.
Deployment Strategy:
- Team-based deployment to commercial zones with high concentrations of eligible SMEs. Strategic focus on regions with high daily cash flow, asset-backed businesses, and inventory-based operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of OND or equivalent in any discipline (HND/BSc is an advantage).
- 1–3 years of field sales experience, preferably in FMCG, agency banking, or micro-lending.
- Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills in English and at least one major local language.(Yoruba/Igbo).
- Familiarity with Lagos commercial markets and informal business environments.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in outdoor/market-facing roles.
- Ability to use mobile apps or digital tools for lead capture and loan application processing.
- Residency within or near target clusters is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong familiarity with Lagos informal markets (e.g., Alaba, Trade Fair, Oke-Arin, Computer Village, etc.).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven track record in field sales, especially in FMCG, Agency Banking, or financial services.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasive selling skills.
- Deep understanding of Lagos business hubs and informal market structures. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient under pressure.
