Job Description/Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Factory Manager / Head of Production on behalf of our client to oversee the daily operations of our garment production facility. This role requires someone with deep knowledge of garment manufacturing, a strong commitment to quality, and the leadership skills to build and manage a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end production processes, ensuring quality control, recruiting and training factory staff, and establishing efficient systems and workflows that support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight
Plan, coordinate, and control the manufacturing process to meet production targets and deadlines.
Supervise the cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor daily production activities and resolve any bottlenecks or operational issues.
Ensure that raw materials and resources are effectively allocated and used efficiently.
- Quality Control & Assurance
Implement and enforce quality control standards to maintain consistent product excellence.
Work closely with the Quality Control Manager to inspect output and reduce rework or defects.
Establish SOPs and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
- Staff Management & Recruitment
Recruit, train, and manage factory workers and production supervisors.
Set clear KPIs and performance expectations for all production staff.
Create a work culture of discipline, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Process & Workflow Optimization
Design and implement an effective production structure and workspace layout to maximize efficiency.
Introduce lean manufacturing principles and productivity tools where applicable.
Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Reporting & Strategy
Prepare regular production and quality reports for management review.
Recommend strategies for cost reduction, capacity improvement, and timely delivery.
Contribute to long-term strategic planning for factory growth and scale.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5–8 years experience in garment manufacturing or related industry (workwear preferred).
Proven leadership and factory operations management experience.
Strong knowledge of production planning, fabric types, machine handling, and garment construction.
Solid understanding of quality assurance systems and lean production methods.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
