Role Description
Responsible for value-driven processes and coming up with value-driven solutions to issues facing the business with respect to Manufacturing Cost Management and Inventory Reporting.
? Monitor and control the factory conversion costs on an ongoing basis.
? Control postings in manufacturing accounts by ensuring the validity of entries and proper classification of costs.
? Prepare, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual factory outputs by production line.
? Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs by cost component.
? Carry out monthly account discussions with the Factory managers where variance and Cost of production reports are presented and reviewed.
? Provide support to factory teams, regarding cost control, through regular meetings.
? Provide variance analysis of actuals versus forecast and PY and ensure deviations are fully understood and recorded.
Qualifications
? Minimum 4-5 years cognate experience in costing, cost control, and inventory accounting in a manufacturing setup.
? Minimum of a BSc. in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
? Professional qualification ACA/ACCA.
? Financially astute, analytical, numerate.
? Good leadership qualities and a high level of collaborative skills.
? Strong IT skills – with proficiency in the use of ERPs.
? Tough and resilient, not afraid of challenges, and demonstrates the highest level of business and professional ethics in dealing with various business partners.
? Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence, both up and down the organization.
