Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative, highly skilled, and experienced Executive Chef must live in and around AMUWO ODOFIN to lead our culinary team. The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and safety. This role combines culinary excellence with strong leadership and operational management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Design and innovate menus in line with the brand concept and seasonal availability.
- Leadership: Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff; foster a positive and professional work environment.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation; ensure consistency in every dish served.
- Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage kitchen budgets, labor costs, and food pricing.
- Vendor Relations: Source high-quality ingredients and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Degree or certification from a culinary school is preferred.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Creativity and a passion for food innovation.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods.
