Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cover grammar, comprehension, creative writing, and oral communication.
- Use teaching aids, instructional materials, and technology to enhance lesson delivery.
- Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and provide feedback for improvement.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying learning abilities.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning.
- Foster good diction and strong language skills among students. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (English), English Language, English Arts, or related fields.
- TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification is an added advantage.
- Strong command of spoken and written English with excellent diction.
- Ability to teach grammar, comprehension, creative writing, and oral communication effectively.
- Skilled in the use of teaching aids and educational technology.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must reside in Surulere or its environs.
