About the role

MML Consulting Ltd, a consulting and management service provider, is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Engineering Technology and Digital Products Manager for our client in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing projects across engineering technology, Digital Products, Information Management Systems and IT Operations. He/she must have strong experience with major EPC projects, Digital Products Implementation for FPSO maintenance and modification projects, Digital Twin development etc and Managing Main Information Contractors (MICS). The Engineering Technology and Digital Products Manager would ensure the smooth functioning of our technology infrastructure and digital products across all business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineering Information and Data Management

• Establish and manage frameworks for structured engineering data, documents and models across project phases.
• Ensure seamless integration and quality control of digital deliverables from all Main Information Contractors and EPC Partners. .
• Ensure traceability, version control and availability of engineering documentation and digital records.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve system issues before they impact operations.
• Administer and support engineering software ecosystems including:3D modeling tools (plant design and piping applications), process simulation software, stress analysis programs.
• Establish data handover protocols between engineering applications.
Configure automated validation checks for engineering deliverables.

2. Drive Digital Project Strategy and Implementation

• Lead the deployment of digital solutions (i.e digital twins, predictive maintenance tools, asset management platforms), for FPSO maintenance and modification programs.
• Champion the adoption of digital twins for real time asset visualization, predictive maintenance and lifecycle cost optimisation.
• Design and implement digital product solutions for FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), maintenance, integrity and modification projects.
Develop and manage the lifecycle of digital tools used in project execution and operations, including 3D/4D Modelling, document/data control systems and workpack generation tools.

3. Manage Main Information Contractors

• Lead relationships with main Information Contractors (MICs) to ensure quality, timeliness and integration of all engineering information. .
Serve as the focal point for coordination with MIC’s, EPC’s technology vendors and platform providers.

4. Digital Governance

• Establish and manage frameworks for structured engineering data, documents and models across project phases.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and ensure timely patch management.
• Enforce data protection policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain comprehensive system documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

5. Lead Technology Integration across major EPC projects

• Champion the adoption of advanced engineering technologies across EPC Projects.
• Establish and enforce robust IM frameworks across FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning and O&M Phases.
Develop internal capability for digital twin modelling, model based engineering and data-centric execution.

6. Document Control and EDMS Administration

• Implement and maintain Enterprise Document Management Systems with custom meta-data schemas, automated workflow configurations, version control protocols.
• Enforce document numbering conventions aligned with project WBS.
Manage transmittal processes for technical documentation.

7. Technical Integration

• Develop interfaces between engineering design systems and document management platforms, project controls and software and construction management tools, vendor documentation portals and internal systems.
• Create Power BI dashboards for document status tracking.
Implement automated reporting for engineering deliverables.

8. Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Conduct regular audits of engineering data quality.
• Ensure compliance with international standards for technical documentation.
• Maintain master document registers with revision tracking.
Oversee as-built documentation processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology,Engineering or a related field.

• Professional certifications such as CSPO, PMP, Microsoft Azure, CEM, ITIL, or equivalent are highly desirable.

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Engineering and or IT Operations digital delivery within EPC AND FPSO Projects.

• Experience supporting engineering or technical computing environments.
• Proving Success in deploying digital twins or advanced IM platforms.
• Strong understanding of digital transformation frameworks in the oil and gas sector.
• Demonstrated expertise with multiple engineering software platforms.
• Knowledge of engineering software platforms and data standards.
Advanced skills in workflow automation.
