Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities tailored to early years learners.
- Apply Montessori principles and other early childhood methodologies in teaching.
- Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and development.
- Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through age-appropriate practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians on students’ progress and needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and child-centered learning.
- Manage the classroom effectively while maintaining patience, empathy, and warmth. Ensure compliance with educational standards and school policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in early years/early childhood education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (B.Ed.).
- TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Montessori principles and child development.
- Strong classroom management, observational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Patience, empathy, warmth, and passion for working with young children.
- Must reside in Surulere or its environs.
