Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and refine our e-commerce strategy to achieve business goals and enhance our online presence.
- Take charge of our website and app, ensuring they run smoothly, are user-friendly, and consistently deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
- Leverage your IT skills and tech-oriented mindset to address technical challenges, optimise performance, and implement innovative solutions.
- Monitor the customer journey, analyse user feedback, and implement improvements to continually enhance the online shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align e-commerce strategies with marketing campaigns, driving traffic, and conversion rates.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, collaborating with supply chain partners to meet customer demand while avoiding overstock situations.
- Utilise data analytics to extract valuable insights, guiding decision-making processes and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Lead and inspire a team of e-commerce professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Stay informed about e-commerce industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Making recommendations for adaptation as needed.
- Monitor and manage the e-commerce budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness in operations.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners to optimise services and negotiate favourable agreements.
- Ensure the security and compliance of the e-commerce platform, including data protection, privacy regulations, and secure payment processing
- Utilise data analytics tools to analyse performance metrics, derive actionable insights, and make informed decisions to drive growth and efficiency.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to align e-commerce strategies with marketing campaigns, enhancing online visibility and driving traffic and conversions.
- Take ownership of the website and mobile app, ensuring they are fully operational, user-friendly, and optimised for a seamless customer experience.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to senior management, illustrating progress and areas for improvement.
- Quickly address technical issues, customer complaints, or operational challenges, finding effective solutions to maintain uninterrupted online retail operations. Seek out opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and efficiency enhancements in all aspects of e-commerce operations.
Requirements:
- First Degree from a reputable higher institution.
- Confidence developing and overseeing retail and e-commerce-focused digital marketing strategies.
- Proven experience in e-commerce management or a related role.
- Strong technical acumen with proficiency in IT and e-commerce platforms.
- A results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving online sales and growth.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with digital marketing principles and best practices.
- A passion for staying up-to-date with e-commerce trends and technologies.
