Background Information
Jireh Doo Foundation (JDF) is a National Non-government organization with over 15 years’ existence and actively intervening in the humanitarian response in the North East and other parts of the country since 2014. JDF works in 5 thematic areas of Gender and Humanitarian response, HIV and Health, Child Development, Research and Information, Single parents, and covers four states of Borno, Gombe, Nasarawa, and Benue.
Jireh Doo Foundation is currently implementing the third party monitoring (TPM)project in the Nasarawa state of Nigeria, Monitoring and reporting outcomes Jireh Doo Foundation is seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree or secondary school certificate and a minimum of two years of experience working as a Driver to support the implementation of the third party monitoring project in Nasarawa state.
Duties and Responsibilities
Job definition: To provide secure and timely driving services to staff and volunteers of Jireh Doo Foundation in Nasarawa state and beyond as need arises, while also assisting with postage and with pick up of office purchases/ supplies as directed by the Head of finance/Admin manager or designated officers. Support/ assist with any other administrative assignment as the need arises.
Functions And Duties
- Transport of staff, goods, and/or documents (Function type: Logistic Support)
- Provide transportation for Head of Office, other employees of Nasarawa field office
- Follow up the driver planning and scheduling for movement
- Facilitate pick-ups and transportation during official visits Service vehicle maintenance management
- Schedule annual vehicle examination for service vehicles
- Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep track of general maintenance schedules, especially car tyre condition
- Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary
- Check oil and tires properly and keep the service vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside
- Keep track of timely car insurance renewals – Update monthly mileage records Maintain a logbook of each service vehicle on a daily and any other duty as assigned

Qualification and Experience
Essential
- Experience in working with Non‐Governmental organizations.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Good communication skills
- Computer skills will be an added advantage
- Good self-organization
- Knowledge of the local language- Hausa
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Poses a driver’s license issued by FRSC. Secondary school certificate

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Fluency in English and Hausa (written & spoken).
- At least 2years Driving experience Basic Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairs
