Driver

Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for staff, visitors, and goods. This role ensures the proper maintenance of vehicles, compliance with traffic regulations, and timely execution of assigned driving and logistical duties.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Transport Duties

• Ensure punctuality and proper route planning to meet schedules.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivery of official materials, parcels, or equipment.
• Maintain courteous and professional conduct with passengers at all times.

Vehicle Care & Maintenance

• Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights, etc.) and promptly report defects or malfunctions.
• Ensure vehicles are always clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy.
• Monitor service intervals and arrange routine maintenance and repairs as required.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel usage, and service records.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, organizational policies, and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper use of seatbelts and safe driving practices at all times.
• Safeguard the assigned vehicle and report any accidents, theft, or incidents immediately.
• Maintain confidentiality of staff movements, official assignments, and documents.

Administrative & Support Duties

• Support the administration team with errands, deliveries, and logistics when needed.
• Assist visitors, partners, or guests with directions, luggage handling, and basic inquiries.
• Perform other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of SSCE/OND certificate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 3–5 years proven driving experience with reputable organizations/companies.
• Good knowledge of road networks, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and safety-conscious under pressure.
• Punctual, trustworthy, and dependable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦75,000.00 per month
