We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding deliveries.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise delivery routes and schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues effectively.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
