Job Summary:
We are looking for a nutrition-aware Caterer or Chef with expertise in scaling healthy recipes from individual servings to large group portions (up to 100+ people). The ideal candidate will work closely with dietitians and project leads to ensure recipes retain their nutritional integrity, taste, and appeal when adapted for larger-scale production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately scale nutrition-based recipes from 1–2 servings to quantities suitable for 50–1000 people, ensuring taste, texture, and nutritional value are preserved.
- Adapt cooking methods for large batches without compromising the healthfulness of ingredients (e.g., avoiding excessive oils or salts).
- Translate meal plans into standardized kitchen-ready bulk recipes with clear portions, measurements, and instructions. Maintain clear documentation of all recipe versions and scaling procedures for training and future use.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in catering, institutional cooking, or community meal programs with a health or wellness focus.
- Demonstrated ability to scale recipes while preserving nutritional goals and culinary quality.
- Deep understanding of portion sizes, nutrient retention, and ingredient substitutions for health-conscious cooking. Culinary certification or formal training preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- A degree or formal training in Catering.
- Familiarity with nutrition analysis software and tools.
- Experience in nutrition education or food demonstration programs.
- Comfortable working with Excel or recipe management platforms. Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, especially in fast-paced environment
