Studio Emodi is a leading Nigerian Interior Design and Architecture Firm in search of personnel to add to our small team.Studio Emodi is hiring a full time Design Operations Manager to manage the day to day operations of the design team and procurement efforts on a broad array of Interior Design projects and initiatives. Studio Emodi will aim to take on multiple projects at once. Will be required to oversee all projects, manage daily team operations to ensure Head Designer and other employees are constantly on track. This may be in the form of morning company zoom calls multiple times a week to go over daily/weekly to-dos and assign tasks to every employee. This will be planned in conjunction with the Head Designer/Founder. Will also be required to update all company trackers; both back-end and client view trackers.The role involves day to day operations and project management of the company. It also involves analysis and improvement of organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. The Design Operations Manager will also be required to identify and address problems and opportunities for the company. Some of these efforts include;
- Interact with clients and leads; the Design Operations Manager will be required to meet with lead clients directly to better understand their needs during the first site visit and to make follow-up phone calls to try to win the jobs. They will be the first point of contact with Studio Emodi. When the lead turns to a client, they will also work alongside the Site Operations Manager to ensure that clients get their weekly reports, and support throughout the project process. Will remain main point of contact and support for all clients.
- Provide consultations and spearhead negotiations with lead clients during the project development and bidding phases.
- Provide some direct administrative support to the Head designer/Founder which includes getting quotes from suppliers/manufacturers, scheduling client/contractor meetings and contacting clients to provide project updates, vendor factory visits to monitor production quality etc.
- Support the Head Designer in managing, hiring and developing a world class interior design team.
- Build and manage strong relationships with vendors/production partners. Will sometimes be required to visit the market, showrooms etc to find and buy relevant materials needed for the execution of a project. Will be required to develop relationships with various vendors and help to negotiate advantageous terms.
- Will be required to suggest appropriate vendors when need be, that you are able to identify based on your previous experience and projects that can tastefully execute project items.
- Sometimes assist the Head Designer/Founder with design conception. Understanding the Studio Emodi brand and language, and being able to develop interior moodboards and space planning suggestions to help develop the proposed design of various interior projects according to the client’s theme/taste and lifestyle is of utmost importance. Present design proposals and bids to clients according to prescribed deadlines, and explain relevant details, reports, expense line items, and goals in clear and persuasive language.
