Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Credit Analysis:
- Assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers through thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments and make recommendations on loan approvals, modifications, or denials.
- Develop credit policy to improve the accuracy of credit assessments.
- Evaluate & timely process customers loan application in line with credit policy and ensure to treat every application within 2-5 hours.
- Continuously analyze and recommend improvement on credit risk management framework, processes and systems.
- Weed out fraudulent applications, and unreliable applicants.
- Continuously ensure alignment/compliance to the credit risk management framework, policy and standards Work closely with marketing, finance, and other teams to negotiate credit terms and agreements.
2. Risk Management:
- Monitor and manage the risk of the existing loan portfolio, identifying potential problem loans and taking proactive steps to mitigate risk.
- Identify emerging credit risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Implement risk management strategies and policies to ensure the stability and growth of Shecluded's financial products. Conduct regular portfolio reviews and stress tests to assess the impact of various economic scenarios on the loan portfolio.
3. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and risk assessments for presentation to the senior management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit assessments, approvals, and monitoring activities. Provide regular reports on credit risk metrics and portfolio performance.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management.
- Develop and implement improvements to credit risk assessment processes and tools.
- Provide training and support to team members on loan processes, credit risk assessment and management practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in credit risk analysis, loan evaluation, or related financial roles
- Must have experience with Loan Disk and Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of credit scoring models, risk assessment tools, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in financial analysis, data interpretation, and risk modeling
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively explain risk findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
