The Role: Student Community Manager
As our Student Community Manager, you’ll be the bridge between the students and everyone they interact with across the academy, program managers, mentors, the core team, and partner businesses. You’ll help create an engaging, structured, and motivating environment for our students as they navigate their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities1. Community Engagement
- Engage with students daily on platforms like WhatsApp or any channel we use.
- Create and share interactive content, daily prompts, polls, challenges, live sessions, spotlights. Maintain a consistent, positive presence in all cohort groups.
2. Liaison & Communication Hub
Be the go-to person for:
- Students to get support and clarity.
- Program managers to share updates and collect feedback.
- Mentors to coordinate mentorship schedules and student activities. Businesses that provide real-life projects, ensuring updates and timelines are shared.
3. Student Participation & Progress Evaluation
- Monitor student engagement, assignment submissions, and class attendance.
- Flag inactive or struggling students to the relevant team. Prepare weekly reports on participation trends and engagement.
4. Onboarding & Offboarding
- Welcome new students into the community.
- Guide them through onboarding resources, code of conduct, and learning structure. Coordinate graduation announcements, alumni engagement, and exit feedback.
5. Support Escalation
- Resolve student concerns or escalate to program managers when needed. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
RequirementsSkills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a community manager, student coordinator, program assistant, or similar role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable with social platforms and productivity tools (WhatsApp and Google Workspace).
- High emotional intelligence and people management skills. Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience working with student or developer communities.
- A background in edtech, talent development, or tech learning platforms. Tech-savvy or familiar with online learning/distant learning
